The Yohiki Medaka
(also spelled Youkihi) is a highly popular, selectively bred variety of the Japanese Rice Fish (Oryzias latipes). It is best known for its vivid orange-to-red coloration, which distinguishes it from the more common "Hi Medaka" (standard orange rice fish).
Key Characteristics
- Appearance: Features a deep, coral-like orange hue that can intensify into a reddish color as the fish matures. High-quality specimens are often called "Deep Orange" or "Yokihi Red".
