The L183 pleco, also known as the Starlight Bristlenose Pleco, features a dark black body with bright white spots and distinct white seams on its dorsal and tail fins. Care and Requirements
  • Tank Size: At least 20 to 30 gallons for a single adult.
  • Water Parameters: Temperature of 75–82°F, pH of 5.5 to 7.0, and soft, tannin-rich blackwater conditions.
  • Diet: Primarily herbivorous; eats algae, biofilm, algae wafers, and blanched vegetables like zucchini or green beans.
  • Behavior: Nocturnal and peaceful, requiring plenty of driftwood and caves to hide in during the day.
