The Longfin Green Dragon Bristlenose Pleco
(Ancistrus sp.) is a highly sought-after, captive-developed strain of bristlenose catfish prized for its flowing, elegant fins and unique, mottled camouflage-green coloration. Unlike common plecos that quickly outgrow most home setups, this domestic variety stays at a manageable size of 4 to 6 inches, making it an exceptional, functional centerpiece for community tanks.
Key Care Requirements
- Tank Size: A minimum of 30 gallons is required to accommodate their growth and provide enough surface area for foraging. [1, 2, 3, 4]
- Water Parameters: They thrive best in a temperature range of 72°–86°F, a pH of 6.5–7.5, and stable water conditions. [1]
