Green Babaulti shrimp, scientifically named Caridina cf. babaulti, are a diverse and generally hardy group of dwarf shrimp originating from India and other parts of Asia. They are known for their green or zebra-striped variants, are peaceful, and require a 5-gallon or larger tank with parameters generally similar to Neocaridina shrimp. Their care is considered easier than many other Caridina species.

Care and tank requirements

Tank size: A 5-gallon tank is the minimum, but a 10-gallon tank is recommended for a colony.

Temperature: Keep the water between 68−72F
pH: Maintain a pH level between 6.5 and 7.5.

Water hardness: TDS 160-200

Diet: They are omnivores and scavengers that thrive on algae and biofilm in a well-established aquarium. Supplement with high-quality shrimp food if necessary.
